Thrasher Fish [B. Taxcahium] is a creature.

Summary[ | ]

The Thrasher Fish (scientifically referred to as B. Taxcahium) is an aquatic creature in the No Man's Sky universe. These fish are found at a common rate on the planet Arancium and have been spotted globally across the planet. These fish are almost always found in schools of five or more, and rarely separate from one another. They are named after the intense thrashing motion the fish make when trying to swim against the strong rip current of the Arancium ocean. Because of their limited body control, these attempts are often futile. This limitation also impacts the fish's ability to hunt as well. These creatures typically feast on small organisms which drift into their path to avoid the struggles of locating and subduing their targets themselves.

The Thrasher Fish is a member of the Ictaloris genus.

Additional information[ | ]

Analysis Visor notes read, "Thrasher Fish [B. Taxcahium] was found roaming the bustling, bountiful oceans on the planet of Arancium. Their lives are brief, their existence a blip, nothing but a desperate thrash against great global currents that carry them. Scavengers, they feed upon the soft downward drift of plankton; feasting upon the dying remains of tiny organisms. Addition observations: Gets cold easily".
