Prediscovery (1145 - 1745)[ | ]

Before the arrival of Gamma Expeditions units, the planet was inhabited by a Gek race known as the Igaahinia which roughly translates to Our People. The Igaahinians were a nomadic hunter-gatherer society which inhabited the vast deserts in small villages known as Qatildas. While the Igaahina made up a majority of the population on Goyrus, there were other sporadic Gek villages (which had no central authority). The Igaahina were ruthless towards the other Gek, often being compared to a more primitive Mongol Empire.

The Vodherzn Corporation (1745 - 1747)[ | ]

Although the Igaahinians dominated for centuries, little was accomplished. Their primitive nature and nomadic civil style ensured survival, but not much else. No great literary, political, social, or economic landmarks were ever reached. In 1745, modern Gek lifeforms "discovered" the planet Goyrus during an expedition by a research company named the Vodherzn Corporation. The Vodherzn unit came into contact with Igaahinian warriors shortly after they arrived, which ended in a serious conflict. The Igaahinians had the numbers, but lacked the technology (boltcasters, etc.) which the Vodherzn explorers had. By the end of the combat, one Vodherzn employee and 11 Igaahinian warriors were killed. The explorers withdrew in either late 1745 or early 1746 (records are indeterminate), but would return in 1746 en mass.

The Vodherzn Corporation had contacted the Galactic Commission (a loose organization of all guilds and races) which organized a raid on Goyrus. Launched in early 1747, the Raid of Goyrus began. 20 starships and hundreds of trained combatants stormed the planet and completely annihilated all Igaahinian life (including civilians). This would be the end of the Igaahinians and primitive life on Goyrus.

Federation of Goyrus (1747 - 1829)[ | ]

After the slaughter of the Igaahinians the Galactic Commission withdrew from the Agrincott system. This left open real-estate and opportunity on Goyrus. The Vodherzn Corporation was dissolved in 1748 after the Raid of Goyrus because of how controversial the operation was. Although the Galactic Commission conducted the raid, many placed the blame on the Vodherzn for making the initial request. Despite this, a select group of Vodherzn explorers used an employee's personal starship to return to Goyrus.

It didn't take them long to realize - not all life had actually been eradicated. While the Igaahians were indeed destroyed, the small villages which the Igaahinians had dominated still existed. The explorers took advantage of this situation, quickly uniting the tribes and forming the Federation of Goyrus. The Federation took advantage of the natives (unbenknownst to them) and implemented a class system which designated the foreign-born as much the superior race. The Federation would eventually dissolve when the planet was mostly abandoned (via starships) in 1829 after a series of revolts by the native villagers.

An Abandoned Wasteland (1829 - April 9, 2019)[ | ]

After the exit of the Federation, the planet remained mostly vacant with only pockets of nomadic natives remaining.

Gamma Expeditions (April 9, 2019 - Current)[ | ]

The planet was once again rediscovered by Gamma Expeditions on April 9, 2019. The planet was designated for observation only, and no future operations are planned to launch on the planet.

Sentinels[ | ]

Sentinels are rare, don't be too worried!
