This planet (a.k.a "Gulu’s Claim") is often thought of as the sister planet to the world known as Nu'at Preserve. It is a hot, desert world marked by crimson mesas and plateaus and frequently accosted by burning wind storms. Because of these inhospitable conditions, Gulu has not received the attention that other Lambda Nu locales have enjoyed.

The name '‘Gulu' was a mistake, due to user error with the discovery database. The original name of the planet was Gulu's Claim, so given by its longest regular inhabitant, a surly Vy'keen prospector named Guludanns.
