Life Pod is a starting starship.
Summary
The Life Pod is a starship the player starts with at the beginning of a new game.
It has no hyperdrive, but it may be possible that one can be added through an upgrade. The Life Pod acts as the basic cockpit of the starship. If it is destroyed, the player starts again with a new Life Pod.
Death results
- If the player dies in space, they will respawn on a space station with a new Life Pod.
- If the player dies on a planet, they will respawn next to their current starship, minus any discoveries they had not yet reported at a planetary beacon.
Additional information
- If the player pre-purchased No Man's Sky they can claim a pre-order starship as their starter ship, Horizon Omega on PC or Alpha Vector on PS4.
