Updated Fractal

A Medium Refiner is a base building product.

Summary[ | ]

A Medium Refiner is a base building product for purifying and combining two elements to create another or to crack higher unique elements to create smaller and more concentrated resources. It is the middle-sized option of the four Refiners.

For example, a refiner can be used to refine Pyrite and Oxygen into Cactus Flesh, but reduces materials like Carbon Crystal to 150 Condensed Carbon as well.

Some end products of the refinery tree are reversable. (see below for other operations)

Game description[ | ]

A vital piece of planetary equipment. The Refiner allows gathered substances to be processed into more powerful and more advanced materials.

The Medium Refiner allows two different substances to be combined into one new material, or materials to be processed at better ratios.

The Medium Refiner must be installed in a Habitable Base, but does not require additional power sources.

Fuel sources[ | ]

The Medium refiner is non-portable and needs no fuel.

Build[ | ]

Medium Refiner can be built using a blueprint and the following ingredients:

The blueprint can be obtained through purchase from the Anomaly.

No more than two Large Refiners and three Medium Refiners can be built in a 50u area. They can be stacked together in clusters of five.

Crafting[ | ]

A refiner can be used to refine or grind a number of materials. A list of these can be found on the Refiner page.

Bugs[ | ]

Bug (3.98): There is an ongoing bug where you may lose the items placed in these items and this includes all three types of refiner machines. It typically happens when you leave the system where the refiner is located (including a refiner on a freighter), and exit the game and reload. Please report this bug here.
