It is a largely barren planet. The dominant geology consists of large, gear-shaped rock formations half-buried in vast fields of sand, perhaps the remnants of some now-extinct stoneworking civilization. Despite ample rainfall, the soil appears unconducive to plant life, of which only sparse and scrubby vegetation are present. Animal life can sometimes be seen gathered around the occasional oasis.
Pleasant daytime temperatures of 12.4 °C give way to slightly colder temperatures of -44.7 °C at night. Rainstorms can reach extremely cold temperatures as low as -68.8 °C and should be avoided if possible.
