R. Rapuhflea is a creature.
Summary[ | ]
R. Rapuhflea is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.
It is a member of the Procavya genus. The R. Rapuhflea lives on the lush, calm weathered planet of Saint Rémy, where it spends its days socializing with members of its herd and occasionally other species, moving from place to place in search for Star Bramble which it eats.
Appearance[ | ]
The R. Rapuhflea is similar to a rodent in appearance, with some unique characteristics. The R. Rapuhflea are mostly gray in appearance, with brown spots on its shell, and areas on its legs and underneath the tail. Although, on the discovery menu they appear to be green with a dark purple as the secondary color. It is speculated the difference is due to either errors in the discovery menu or the atmosphere of Saint Rémy creating a different appearance.
Its head is very rodent-like with small ears, and two brown, blunt horns protruding from the top of the critter's forehead. Its back is protected with a shell, similar to a turtle, and has a thick tail which seems to help it stay balanced when climbing inclines to reach its next food source.
The only gender dimorphism in this species is that the Unknown gender have four fins on their tail that are not present in the Rational gender. It is thought that the reason for this is the Unknown gender acts as the protectors of the herds, and if a predator presents itself, the creature will whip its tail to attack. Although this would be a rare occurrence as they seem to be a very tranquil creature, preferring to nibble and graze in peace.
Alias names[ | ]
The R. Rapuhflea is named after the famous impressionist artist, Vincent Willem Van Gogh's friend, Émile Bernard, who was also a painter and writer.

Found on the planet Saint Rémy, where the temperate climate and frequent rainfall encourage the rapid evolution of new lifeforms.
