Reococcyx is a genus of fauna in No Man's Sky. Commonly referred to as "bipedal antelopes," the common name the game uses, and "bipedal deer."

The name of this genus is likely a reference to Geococcyx, the Earth-biology genus to which roadrunner birds belong.

Major Characteristics[ | ]

Reococcyx only has one variant. They are very similar to Tetraceris species, with the major and obvious difference being that they're bipedal rather than quadrupedal.

  • Bipedal, usually hooves or elephant-like feet.
  • Often have some form of horns, ranging from small stubs to decently-sized antlers.
  • Two distinct eyes, a mouth, and nose at the end of snout.
