The Republic of Kairos is the governing civilization of the Sea of Emurros. It's name stems from the idea of Poseidon, although he was not a God amongst stars, but of the sea. This region is inhabited by a race of Traveller dedicated to the exploration of all things galactic and laying claims to star systems, planets, fauna and flora alike. Keying the saying, astris scientia cedit which translates to, the stars yield to knowledge.
