The TS-1 Barterdeal is the premier trade frigate in the CELAB Galactic Starfleet. It entered service in Nov-2018, initially as a C-class frigate. Captain Wahlberg, while being a pedantic introvert proven he was capable of excellent software design and applied this to his trading strategy. The captain designed an AI software algorithm for maximizing profit by identifying the weaknesses of the seller, broadcasting real time generated propaganda about their home system and their current trading system to predict the most successful price for trading transactions. In order to exploit the rapid uncertainty that overcomes the trading partner, the software was tied directly to the ships teleportation system to allow instant transactions which minimized the possibility of the other trader having second thoughts.

Over the next four weeks, the C-class frigate upgrades quickly to S-class. CEO Celab99 of CELAB Galactic Industries was so impressed with this record, that in Feb-2019, Captain Wahlberg and the TS-1 Barterdeal crew were named as the premier trading frigate for high profile trade expeditions.

Owing to the very successful track record of the TS-1 Barterdeal, the crew has developed a reputation as snooty and arrogant. In early March 2019, when visiting a Trading Post at Olbert I-Frz several of the crew become embroiled in a NipNip Buds-fueled altercation with the Gek owners of the local trading post bar over a bragging rights for frigate trade records in the region. Three crew members of the TS-1 Barterdeal were killed, however the bar owners were eliminated during the engagement. Two bartenders were taken by the remaining crew to the TS-1 Barterdeal's onboard genetic lab, where they performed DNA manipulation on the bartenders. The bartenders were genetically merged with Procavya DNA, and within a week developed into a new species now known as H. Huntnonea. The crew deposited them on Cel-Nazaifus I. The CEO rewarded the crew with an all expenses paid week holiday to the AGT Nexus (Yihelli Quadrant) planet once news of this reached him.
