I just discovered two planets with the corrosive biome, but with different weather intensities. Guess the biome only influences the flora and fauna. --TakaNoYaiba (talk) 08:03, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

Hard thing to confirm, a planet can have multiple biomes and multiple hazards from what I saw. It is true that there's multiple weather intensities for each hazards tho. I had beautiful green planets being "Burning" so I guess there's no correlation. --Loloppe (talk) 08:13, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

Then are the headings still relevant? Biomes are "often defined by abiotic factors such as climate, relief, geology, soils and vegetation." Which is to say that the climate should be talked separately from the flora and fauna. Perhaps this page requires a major revamp with just headings of each factor (Types of climates, different levels of flora, etc) Kushcer (talk) 15:49, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

I had 2 corrosive planets, one was with acidic dust and the other had an extreme acidity climate. The biome doesn't seem to affect the weather, but the type of hazard, like already stated in the page. --TakaNoYaiba (talk) 16:15, 21 August 2016 (UTC)

Requesting cleanup of Exotic section. The interpretation of the visuals on each planet type is too specific. The names, and descriptions seem to come a little too much from the writers imagination, and not enough from the game. The names the game provides for these types of planet are listed here, because they can legitimately be read from the game. Keeping these descriptions is misinformation, and doesn't meet the standard for being included in the article. If we allow things like this to creep onto main gameplay articles, the quality of the whole wiki will suffer. --Nodiddlyoddly (talk) 20:30, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

You are proven wrong by the article's screenshots I posted myself. You obviously rely on "Thirsty" or "Glassy", so the planet type. As shown by the information screenshots below Exotic, the planet type name has nothing to do with the actual exotic biome shown in the end. It is ENTIRELY random. They hugely overlap! The planet type in the game can have a small influence on minor ranges for max temperature etc. (Tropical vs Verdant for gaia) but it is unrelated for an Exotic's main biome. The ONLY - and I repeat - ONLY 'fictional' name is the anomaly itself. This anomaly has no name in the game that is openly visible and was chosen by visual clues. The same was done to sort the freighters and other things where major amounts of unsorted data culminated in a bad visual for the wiki. You could argue for different names for the anomalies - or even their real names - if you find proof of those ingame. If not, there is no point to change a VISUAL description.
