Toxic Protection Upgrade is an exosuit upgrade.
Summary[ | ]
Toxic Protection Upgrades, contained within Toxic Protection Modules, are procedurally generated upgrades granting supplementary protection against toxins.
Upgrade properties[ | ]
Toxic Protection Upgrades function similarly to Hazard Protection but only protect the player from toxic damage. Protection effectiveness depends on upgrade class (S-class upgrades offer the best protection).
Toxic Protection Upgrades grant the following bonus:
- Toxic Protection
Module Name | Module Improves | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Power Duration | Power Duration | Power Duration | |||
Toxic Protection Module | Toxic Protection | 200-300 | 240-320 | 280-360 |
Up to three protections upgrades can be installed in the technology section of the Exosuit. Installing four or more upgrades will disable all upgrades of that type until the upgrade count is reduced to three or less.
Acquisition[ | ]
Toxic Protection Upgrades can only be obtained from opening Toxic Protection Modules.
Repairs[ | ]
Toxic Protection Upgrade can be repaired using the following ingredients:
- Ammonia x50 + Wiring Loom x1
Dismantle[ | ]
Toxic Protection Upgrade can be dismantled after construction, returning the following ingredients:
- Toxic Protection Upgrade → Ammonia x50 + Wiring Loom x1
Recharge[ | ]
The protection offered by Toxic Protection Upgrades, unlike that offered by the Exosuit's built-in toxic protection, does not recharge automatically while in locations without a significant toxin hazard. Toxic Protection Upgrades must be manually recharged as needed using Ammonia (6.25%/unit) or Ion Battery (100%/unit).
Additional information[ | ]
- The depletion rate is the same regardless of whether it is a little too corrosive or way too corrosive, and it is also variable amongst the pool of upgrades by an adjustable time-frame.
- Upgrade bonuses trigger for Toxic Protection Upgrades if they are adjacent to any of the following:
- Hazard Protection
- Shield Lattice
- Aeration Membrane
- Suspicious Hazard Protection Upgrades
- Thermal Protection Upgrades (Heat)
- Thermal Protection Upgrades (Cold)
- Radiation Protection Upgrades
These only apply in actuality to basic upgrades with a visible percentage.
