Update 1.50 is the 23rd update to No Man's Sky.

Summary

Update 1.5, also known as No Man's Sky NEXT, is the 23rd update to No Man's Sky, released on 24 July, 2018 to Playstation 4, Xbox One, Wegame, and PC. It expanded multiplayer features and player interactions.

Hidden Changes

New Features

From Hello Games: "You’ll be able to explore the universe with your friends, or bump into random travelers. You can help friends to stay alive, or prey on others to survive. Tiny shelters or complex colonies that you build as a team are shared for all players. Fight as a pirate or a wingman in epic space battles with friends and enemies. Race exocraft across weird alien terrains, creating racetracks and trails to share online." (Full text) [1]

Sean Murray has compared the new multiplayer experience to Battlestar and Star Trek Away Team.[2]
