Uran is a star system.
Summary[ | ]
Uran is a trading star system on the outer rim of the Delta Quadrant in the Euclid galaxy.
The system is part of the Gekan Brotherhood and under supervision of Liquidator Kashiih. As the brotherhood only keeps up loose governmental structures, his main job is to organize the local militia and to make sure it is ready for war. All freedoms inside the brotherhood do not extend to outsiders and in doubt all band together to defend their liberties. One of those liberties is to rob outsiders blind. Piracy is an extreme problem in all of their sphere, although one might call it 'tribute' instead. Might makes right, in numbers or in absolutes. The system's security level is LOW!
The station offers its huge server archives to support their member's ability to acquire free knowledge and to chose their own path. Further a huge library of famous works and research results have been offered for public enlightenment. This offer is extended by a basic supply of nanites and basic biofuel from their greenhouse. Might makes right, but the brotherhood isn't an unforgiving monster towards friends.
Planets & Moons[ | ]
- Uran 1 is a lifeless rock. Its only purpose is exploitation by mining fleets.
- Uran Prime is a humid grassland and a beautiful testament in green. Until it was colonized, no higher lifeforms had evolved, however. The only species on the planet are minor organisms keeping the ground healthy and fertile. Vy'keens are not interested in agriculture and so this pearl lies unclaimed and is mainly used as the system's trade hub. It is rumoured that Vortex Cubes can be found below the earth. How they ended up there is a mystery.
- Essadel is a toxic world with constant acid rain. This didn't stop the Vy'keen from settling here. The low base acidity of 51.3 Hammett even invites the more adventurous traders to take a look at their wares.
- Uran 4 like Uran 1 is a lifeless rock. Unlike Uran 1, this planet's resources are under claim by the sentinels. It is unclear if they have hidden bases on the planet or just use it to acquire resources for their armies. The Gekan Brotherhood however leaves them alone.
