X. Ambyrinum is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.

It is an especially large member of the Mogara genus, with some examples reaching a towering 8.2m tall.

Appearance[ | ]

Nicknamed "Koopa", this creature is adorned with beautiful golden beige feathers, patterning on its forearms and face, a short beak, and a hard defensive shell.

The Female Koopa's plumage is even more ornate than the Asymptotic, with more feathers present on its arms and forehead and the addition of feathers on its chin. The Female's dark brown ears contrast with the lighter beige ones of the Asymptotic, and the green patterning on the shells of the two genders differ in design.

Found on planet Aygetap, where Koopa (X. Ambyrinum) has adapted to the frequent swings in temperature. Calm and methodical creatures, they graze the planet with an air of gentle, unflustered serenity. Their diet is largely conventional, consisting largely of local fauna. But the scent of Nip Nip drives them to a frenzy, and they will gorge upon its buds.
